You Can't Trump This
Imagine the advantage that future business leaders would have if they had the chance to develop business skills early on in their education. I think it's never too early to introduce students to business concepts. High school would be the perfect place to start. Read more about "The Donald's" view on Business education

  1. I think that living in smithtown gives us an advantage over most other areas in the country. I think that we can take many more business classes than other students. I think that this is what Donald Trump was talking about.

  5. i think that you really do kneed math if you are going to do well on the S.A.T's. even though people think that math will be uselss when they are in school but if you want to get into a good college, you'll need to do good on the S.A.T's. Math is very helpful if you are planning on getting into a good college

I think that High School students should be introduced to business classes. I think that it is just as important as other classes like english, math, science, etc. Being that Smithtown requires students to have credits in electives like art and music they should also require at least 1 business credit.

  7. I totally agree with Mr. Trump, high school is a great place to start. Because of our great business dept., I know about business now and I can go on to it in college ahead of the game. Smithtown has the best business dept. on the island.

  10. We believe that it is never to early to start leraning about business and its basic principles so that we are better prepared when we get older. It is hard to learn about business principles when you're in college if you do not have a foundation to build upon

if all students had the option or even mandated to education in business, we students would be at least twice as prepared..

  16. I agree that business is important to high school students. Many of the courses i have taken have helped me in other subjects, like economics. I belive the skills I have learned in high school will put me way ahead of most others in college, which will hopefully benifit me in the long run.

  17. I think that he is right that there Should be more business classes. We have enough classes of math and english, but not enough of business.

  18. I think what Donlad Trump said does not really apply to smithtown high school. Smithtown has plenty of classes for kids who are interested in business.

  19. mr. trump is right. we need to get prepared for the real world. High schools should mandate a certain amount of business credits needed to graduate, as they do with core classes, as well as art/music.

  21. Many schools throughout the country dont have the advantage of a school of business in our own high school. By having a school of business, the high school grads who go onto college and major in business, will have an advantage over students who didnt take high school business colleges.

  22. In my personal opinion i feel that Donald Trump is correct in some points. Highs should offer advanced business classes to thoughs who are interseted in seeking a career in business in the future. High school student do have good preperations for college. Our teacher teach us the basic and also advanced subject that we need to get the understanding of the topic for college. In the future i feel that business classes should be an opition not manditory.

  35. I think Trump's right, many kids are not ready for the world of business, and many high schools should be getting them ready. Our school has a good business education program though, but still many kids don't take advantage of it, and most of us, including myself, are not ready for the business world.

  40. I think highscshool is a great place for teenagers to learn about business because when they go to college they will have a chance to start their own business if they wish. Also highschool is where they learn everything do they are most likely to remember it.

  41. I think that high schools should put more of an emphasis on business classes and clubs. I agree with Donald; the majority of students want to become businessmen or women and entrepeneurs. I'm glad that smithtown allows us to choose from many different electives.
